  3. Make ready 1/4 tsp Saffron Strands: Ground
  4. Prepare 2 tbsps Water (Hot): To Soak the Saffron Strands for about 20-30 mins time
  5. Take 1/2 Cup Sugar
  6. Take 1/4 Cup Desiccated Coconut: Optional- I’ve used it
  7. Make ready 1/2 Cup Water: RT
  8. Prepare 1/4 tsp Green Cardamom Powder
  9. Prepare Garnish: As You Like
  10. Take 10-12 Slices- Almonds: Blanched & Slivered
  11. Prepare 10-12 Slices: Pistachios-Blanched & Slivered
  12. Make ready 1 Baking Dish/Tray with cover

This recipe also calls for rosewater, cardamom, honey, sugar, and lemon juice. It's sweet and dripping with flavor. In a mixing bowl whisk the cream till you get peaks, now add the honey and condensed milk and whisk. Dry roast the almonds and then pistachios.

Steps to make LOZ: Persian Saffron- Almonds Dessert:
  1. First Up: Soak the saffron strands as mentioned for the best results to infuse its colour & aroma both- Set Aside
  2. Heat up a pot/saucepan on the medium- high flame initially, with the given measured amounts of water & sugar & let it come to a rolling boil- Then reduce the flame to the medium-low-Add in the Saffron soaked water to it & combine well to get nicely blended
  3. In goes the Almond Meal/Flour- Mix everything well together until nicely combined and well blended to get all incorporated- It’d start to form a dough like texture at this point, while mixing continuously
  4. As & when it starts releasing its oil organically & leaves the pan/pot- Turn off the flame & immediately transfer it to the baking dish- lined up with the butter paper or the cling wrap (any), wrap & fold it with it- Let it cool down completely
  5. Unwrap it- Cut up into your desired shapes & sizes: Garnish it with the blanched & slivered Almonds & Pistachios- Plate it out on the serving plate/platter to enjoy this easy, quick Persian Dessert Delicacy
