Cassava cake is a traditional Filipino dessert made from grated cassava, coconut milk, and condensed milk with a custard layer on top. The cassava layer is soft and moist with sweet and creamy topping; it's like having two desserts in one bite! In a large bowl, whisk together the grated cassava, condensed milk, coconut milk, eggs, and ground cardamom (if using) until well-mixed. Cassava Cake, the famous dessert in our country made from grated cassava root (kamoteng kahoy or balinghoy known as we call in the Philippines).

  1. Take 2 cups grated KAMOTENG KAHOY
  2. Take 1 cup condensed milk, half cup melted butter or oil
  3. Prepare 2 cups coconut milk
  4. Get 1 tsp salt
  5. Take 3 eggs

  7. Take 1 cup condensed milk with half cup of coconut milk

In large mixing bowl combine cake ingredients. Pour equally into two large greased rectangular pans. Mix topping ingredients well and spread evenly on the two cakes. In this video I made cassava cake for the first time and I'm glad it turned out well.

Instructions to make Creamy CASSAVA CAKE:
  1. Put the grated kamoteng kahoy, butter or oil, condensed milk, salt - together in a mixing bowl
  2. Beat the egg then put it on a combined ingdts.
  3. Mix altogether until well blended
  4. Preheat the oven for about 150C Temp
  5. Grease the baking pan, rounded or rectangular, put Banana leaves on the pan before you put the well blended ingredients. The aroma of banana leaves will add to the taste of your cake.
  6. Put on the oven at 175C temp for 15minutes, while it is rolling prepare ingdnts for toppings. Mix the condensed milk with coconut milk.
  7. Pull out the cake from the oven CAREFULLY then put the toppings evenly on the top of the cake. Add on the grated cheese.
  8. Bake the finished product for about 45 minutes, at 150C temp.
  9. Enjoy it with a cup of coffee or tea❤️

Mix topping ingredients well and spread evenly on the two cakes. In this video I made cassava cake for the first time and I'm glad it turned out well.
