  5. Prepare 700 ml Water
  6. Take 100 ml Red wine
  7. Prepare 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  8. Get 1 Tbsp Milk

Heat oil and add onions and carrots. Sprinkle corn starch on top of ground beef and add to the vegetables. Add beef broth, ketchup, sake and worcestershire sauce. This dish is a take on the classic hayashi rice.

Instructions to make Classic Hayashi Rice:
  1. Heat olive oil in a large deep pan and stir-fry the sliced onions. Keep cooking till it gets soft and brown.
  2. Add beef and mushroom. Keep stir-frying until beef is cooked.
  3. Pour in water and bring to boil. Skim off the foam(scum). Simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat, add the Hayashi paste and stir well until the paste melts down.
  5. Add red wine, worcestershire sauce, and milk. Simmer gently for about 5-10 minutes.
  6. Serve with rice. Tasty with salad on the side!
