Mishkaki is a famous East African bbq meat delicacy. Cubes of steak are marinated and then skewered and grilled until tender, the result is succulent, moist and delicious barbecued meat morsels. It is somewhat similar to the desi beef boti. Mishkaki is Swahili for little pieces of meat on a skewer.

Steps to make Mishkaki:
  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl to marinate then for one hour. (beef should be cut to medium sizes)
  2. Add a spoon of oil and thread them through skewers while putting a slice of tomatoes between the beef. Put 5 per skewer.
  3. Cook in a hot grill / barbeque. Turn the meat untill all sides are cooked and turned golden brown.
  4. Serve.
