Mishkaki is one of the most popular of current trending foods in the world. It is easy, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. It is appreciated by millions every day. They’re nice and they look fantastic. Mishkaki is something which I have loved my entire life.

To begin with this particular recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can cook mishkaki using 10 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Mishkaki:
  1. Prepare 1 kg beef steak, cubed (use a good cut like rump steak)
  2. Prepare 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  3. Make ready 2-3 tbsp grated raw papaya (act as a tenderizer)
  4. Prepare 1-2 tsp salt
  5. Prepare 1 tsp red chilli powder
  6. Prepare 1 tsp turmeric powder
  7. Prepare 2 tbsp olive oil
  8. Prepare 1 tbsp tomato paste
  9. Take 1 tbsp. Tamarind paste
  10. Get 1 tbsp tandoori masala

Mishkaki is a famous East African bbq meat delicacy. Cubes of steak are marinated and then skewered and grilled until tender, the result is succulent, moist and delicious barbecued meat morsels. It is somewhat similar to the desi beef boti. Mishkaki is Swahili for little pieces of meat on a skewer.

Instructions to make Mishkaki:
  1. Mix all the ingredients well, and then marinate the beef in the marinade preferably overnight for the meat and tenderize.
  2. Skewer the meat, and cook over a hot charcoal grill or under an oven broiler until tender. You can brush a bit of oil during the cooking process so that the meat doesn’t dry out.
  3. Keep turning the skewers as you grill to ensure the meat is cooked evenly. Be careful not to over cook as this will dry and toughen the meat
  4. Serve with peta bread πŸ₯– and green chutney πŸ˜‹ - Enjoy!

It is somewhat similar to the desi beef boti. Mishkaki is Swahili for little pieces of meat on a skewer. And that is exactly what these are. The marinade on these beef skewers is heavily influenced by Indian cuisine: the ginger garlic paste, chili powder, and tandoori masala seasoning being the main flavor profile. Make the marinade for the beef by combining all the ingredients except the beef in a container or ziplock bag and mix them together.
