Hey everyone, it is me, Dave, welcome to our recipe page. Today, I’m gonna show you how to prepare a special dish, steamed bao bun. It is one of my favorites food recipes. For mine, I will make it a bit tasty. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Steamed Bao Bun is one of the most well liked of recent trending foods on earth. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. It’s simple, it’s quick, it tastes delicious. They are nice and they look wonderful. Steamed Bao Bun is something that I have loved my whole life.

Mix together the flour, caster sugar and ½ tsp salt in a large bowl (see tip). Mix into a dough, adding a little extra water if needed. Start cooking with cold water over a high heat. Turn the heat down to medium-low when the water starts boiling.

To begin with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook steamed bao bun using 7 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Steamed Bao Bun:
  1. Get 1/2 cup warm water
  2. Get to taste Salt
  3. Take 2 tsp sugar
  4. Take 2 tsp dry yeast
  5. Take as needed Oil
  6. Take as needed Cold water
  7. Take 2 cup all purpose flour

Place each cha siu bao bun on a parchment paper square, and steam. I steamed the buns in two separate batches using a bamboo steamer (be sure the boiling water does not touch the buns during steaming process). Steps to make Steamed Bao Bun:
  1. Take a bowl add warm water, sugar, dry yeast and keep it for sometime.
  2. Take a mixing.bowl add all purpose flour, pinch of salt, 2tbs oil, yeast mixture and prepare a dough. Apply oil on the dough and keep it for 10min.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls. Roll it as small circle, apply oil on one side food it to half and roll it gently.
  4. Steam it for 12min in a idly steamer.
  5. U can fill ur bun with chole/chicken or anything as per ur wish.

Knead until dough surface is smooth and elastic. Punch down dough, and spread out on a floured board. These fluffy steamed Bao Buns are made snowy white and totally dairy free , stuffed with sweet pulled Hawaiian style shoyu chicken. The topping is a quick and delicious Banh Mi slaw that is colorful and fun, and we'll finish the whole thing with a drizzle of my very own Island Sauce.
